Questions and Answers
Question: Can you use dental bonding on an artificial tooth if it becomes damaged in some way? What if I damage a crown, for instance?
Answer: We cannot use bonding on a tooth if it is not your natural tissue. When it’s something like a single dental crown, bridge, partial, or denture, we will need to repair the restoration through other means or simply replace it.
Question: Is dental bonding appropriate for children? Would you be able to fix my child’s chipped tooth with this cosmetic treatment?
Answer: In some instances, bonding is appropriate for children. Remember that the material we use is the same that is used in white fillings, which are appropriate for children. If your child has a crack, chip, or other issue that requires attention, let us know!
Question: What if my teenager has a smile with spaces? Can we just choose dental bonding instead of worrying about braces?
Answer: This depends wholly on the spaces present, whether your child’s smile is still developing, and more. We encourage you to speak with us by setting up a consultation for yourself and your teen. We will talk with you about your child’s smile, explain the options, and may even refer you to a trusted orthodontist if necessary.
