Questions and Answers About Your Brushing Habits
Question: Can I brush too much?
Answer: Actually, it is entirely possible to brush too much if you are doing it incorrectly. Or, you may brush the minimum suggested amount every day (twice) but the results will seem like you are over-brushing. Why is this happening? You’re brushing too hard. When you use gentle strokes, you can brush twice or several times a day without causing any harm. Brush with too much vigor and two or more sessions daily can cause damage.
Question: What happens if I’ve been overdoing it with my dental hygiene? Can I fix the problem?
Answer: You may end up with sensitive teeth and discomfort. This is generally happening because your gums begin to pull back from your tooth tissue due to irritation. Good news: If you stop brushing too forcefully, you will give your smile time to heal. If you need dental care to repair gum damage or address sensitivity, we are here to offer treatment.
Question: What if I have a hard time using light pressure?
Answer: We may suggest you switch to an electric toothbrush for your dental hygiene sessions. It will provide the strokes for you, so all you need to do is guide the brush throughout your smile.
