Step #1: A Checkup
Did we see you recently for a dental exam? Are your teeth in excellent health? How about your gums? If we are not familiar with your oral health at the moment, we may first need to examine your smile! After all, we need to determine if your teeth and gums are ready for teeth whitening or if they need a little attention first. We also need to find out if whitening is right for you.
Step #2: Restorative Care
About that teeth and gum health of yours. We cannot apply bleaching gel (or other cosmetic treatments) to tissues in need of restorative care. We will only provide cosmetic care to healthy smiles. You may first require some restorative care before we give you the green light for esthetic improvements.
Step #3: A New Care Plan
Yes, you can whiten your teeth! Of course. Even if your smile does not qualify for teeth whitening. When this happens, there are always alternative options. So, do not find yourself flabbergasted and emotionally distraught if we say that traditional whitening is off the table. Other options like replaced dental work, veneers, or bonding will help you reach your goals.
