Keep Brushing Morning And Evening
Whether you’re home for the holidays and your schedule is as usual, you’re traveling and your schedule has gone crazy, or any other combination, there’s one thing that needs to remain the same: Your dental hygiene! Keep brushing morning and evening, so your smile makes it through the holidays unscathed.
Brushing After Desserts (And Rinsing)
You don’t want to spend every enjoyable moment with holiday desserts simultaneously gobbling up the yummy flavor and worrying about cavities. How to make sense of it all, you wonder? Good news: It’s very easy. After you eat your desserts, gulp down some water. Take a moment to swish it about first. This will allow you to quickly rinse sugars from your smile. Then, can you guess what you need next? Your toothbrush, of course! Head to the nearest sink or restroom and brush your smile once you’ve let your teeth rest for about 30 minutes.
Bring Your Brush With You
No, we don’t mean that you should bring your brush with you wherever you go! However, we do want to be sure you remember to bring it along with you if you are traveling away from your home for the holiday time! Whether you’ll be taking a train, a plane, etc., you are going to need to pack. If you don’t bring your brush, toothpaste, and floss, then you will be without your usual dental hygiene collection. When you don’t have this with you, you cannot clean your smile! Unfortunately, this may force you to skip a session or to have to go shopping for replacements when you’d really just like to relax. So, do what you need to do to remember to keep your brush around (it may mean setting up a packing list or setting a reminder in your phone!).
