Question: Why is it so beneficial to have access to CAD/CAM dentistry?
Answer: When you have access to this type of technology, you can often receive certain treatments at an accelerated rate. Here’s why: Let’s say you need a dental crown. Usually, this requires conventional impressions, molds sent to a lab, the crown created, the crown sent back to the practice, then placement (after you’ve worn a temporary). With advanced tech, you can often receive a crown in one visit.
