We Thoroughly Consider Your Candidacy

Worried that you’ll show up and receive dental sedation but that it’s not necessarily safe? Don’t worry. While most people turn out to be candidates for sedation, that doesn’t mean we provide it to just anyone! We thoroughly consider your health history, current medications, and more to ensure that administering sedation is safe before doing so. If you do receive sedation, you will be closely monitored from the start of your visit to the finish.

You’re Not Going Right Back To Work After You Receive It

After you receive dental sedation at our practice, you are not headed straight back to your work. Or to school. Or out to eat. Instead, you are headed to bed or to your sofa! You’ll be a bit out of it as you come out of sedation, which is why a trusted friend or loved will need to bring you home (and stick around until the drugs have worn off enough for you to be safe alone).

You Have Choices

We provide either oral sedation or IV sedation as your choices for dental sedation at our practice. In order to determine which type of sedation will give you the best results for the particular needs that you’re bringing to us, we will have a conversation with you. We’ll explain the oral option (taking a pill) and the IV option (intravenously administered for a stronger effect than oral sedation). As a result, you can look forward to a truly calm visit.
