Are you coming in for a cosmetic consultation with us to find out more about improving the appearance of your smile? If so, are you sort of wondering if we might suggest porcelain veneers to achieve your goals? Or, do you assume this is a cosmetic treatment we suggest only for very specific patients (and that you couldn’t possibly be one of them)? Whatever the case, you will discover that veneers are quite versatile and dramatically help patients in a variety of situations. Consider a few different reasons we may suggest them for you.
Reason #1: Your List Is Long
For patients seeking a way to address many problems with the cosmetic value of their smiles, we often suggest porcelain veneers. They can offer the illusion of alignment (in mild cases – see Reason #3), a whiter smile (see Reason #2), improvement of chips and cracks, filled spaces, uniform tooth length, and more!
Reason #2: Your Teeth Resist Whitening
There are often reasons we suggest porcelain veneers in place of teeth whitening. It could be that your teeth do not respond well to whitening and your goal is a whiter smile. It could also be that your staining is internal (intrinsic), a type of discoloration that is often impossible to address with traditional whitening.
Reason #3: You Don’t Need Braces But…
Maybe you have some issues with the alignment of your teeth that cause a cosmetic problem (like your teeth look slightly crooked or there are a lot of spaces between them). However, you’re not dealing with alignment problems that affect your oral health. We may suggest porcelain veneers, which can offer exceptional uniformity without shifting a tooth.
