Do you love trick-or-treating with your little ones, passing out candy to the neighborhood kids, and indulging in the opportunity to dress up and catch a fright on Halloween? Do you feel just as passionate about celebrating holidays as you do about making sure the men and women in our troops are remembered on these festive days? If so, you will certainly be pleasantly surprised to learn about this upcoming event.
What Is This?
This is the Candy From Kids Who Care event – it’s an opportunity to bring your Halloween candy (unopened, please) to the museum. Whether you’ve eaten too much already, don’t want your kids to overload on sugar, or otherwise, your donations will be included in care packages sent to overseas servicepeople who aren’t home to celebrate.
When Is It?
The event will take place from October 28, 2015 through November 6, 2015 at the following times:
- Tuesday through Saturday: 10am to 5pm
- Sunday: 12pm to 5pm

This will take place at The Woodland Children’s Museum, located at the following address:

Who Is Invited?
Everyone is invited to donate their candy for this event – and all ages are welcome in the museum.
How Much Is Admission?
This event does not require admission if you are stopping by to drop off your candy. However, if you would like to visit the museum, admission is $5 per person for individuals three and older. Individuals who qualify for free admission follow:
- Children two years of age and younger
- Individuals who are immediate family members of active military
- Members of the museum
