October is starting to come to a close, and Halloween is just around the corner. This means that soon the holidays will be here, and the weather is about to switch gears from the nice, crisp autumn cool to the chilly winter months. Halloween in the Park
One of the magical things about October is the lovely weather and fabulous Halloween decorations! What’s more? Being able to dress up as whoever or whatever you want is such a fun way of expressing oneself, and it is always so amazing to see the detail and creativity involved in many costumes.
Indeed, this Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the City of Conroe Parks and Recreation will host the annual Halloween in the Park event. This gathering features a number of family-friendly components, including carnival games, inflatables, face painting, and more.
The event will take place at Carl Barton Jr. Park, located at 2500-336 Loop Conroe, TX, 77301.

Movie in the Woods
Once you have enjoyed what the City of Conroe Parks and Rec has to offer at the Halloween in the Park Festival, you can stick around for Movie in the Woods the Saturday, October 23, 2021. This event begins at 7 p.m. and will include a showing of Pixar’s Monsters University.
The event will be located at Carl Barton Jr. Park, and attendance for the event is free of charge. Additionally, there will not be any concessions sold, but outside food and drink are allowed and encouraged. Finally, make sure to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and whatever else you need to set up a comfy spot on the field and enjoy the show! More information can be found here.
OctoBEARfest
This Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Bears ETC will be hosting OctoBEARfest at Southern Star Brewing Co. This festival consists of a BBQ cookoff, vendors, a kid’s area, and some delicious craft beer.
Tickets are $10 for those ages 5 years and up and can be purchased here on the event page. Additionally, vendor booths are available for $125, and the BBQ cookoff entry is $200. Finally, the kid’s area will feature bounce houses, yard games, and face painting.
The event will take place at Southern Star Brewing Co., located at 3525 N. Frazier Street.
