Feeling festive as you prepare for Thanksgiving with the winter holidays fast approaching? Bring yourself and the whole family out on the town for the 32nd Annual Lighting of the Doves and 8th Annual International Winter on the Waterway (iWow) Festival. You will appreciate the break from the hustle and bustle of planning and can take a breather that even our Conroe’s youngest members will enjoy.
What Is It?
The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau is providing this free, open to the public event with the 32nd Annual Lighting of the Doves to offer family-friendly fun, while offering some interesting facts about different cultures’ holiday traditions.
When and Where Is It?
Join your local friends and family at Town Green Park on The Woodlands Waterway. Everyone will be gathering on Saturday, November 22nd from 3:00 to 9:00 pm. You may buy tickets for food and games when you arrive at the festival.
What’s Going On?
The festival offers something for everyone and will be set up like a street fair. You can expect a special visit from Santa’s boat, which arrives on a holiday-themed sleigh. This exciting day will also include the following:
- Children’s games and activities
- “Snow” areas, so your little ones can play in the snow
- A fireworks show
- Arts and crafts
- Live music
- Entertainment
- Ice carvers
- Traditional festival concessions
What are you waiting for? Put the turkey and pumpkin pie plans on hold, think about holiday shopping later, and bundle up for a wonderful day of fun, fireworks, and magic along the waterway.
