Summertime Fun in Conroe This Weekend

Indeed, the past year and a half has been a rough time for many, and a number of people were not able to get out and enjoy the warmest season of the year due to the threat of COVID-19. Cabaret

To satisfy your love for the arts, you should check out “Cabaret” at Owen Theatre. This play takes place in 1929 post-World War I Germany where an American writer named Clifford Bradshaw stumbles upon the Kit Kat Klub. Here he meets a talented cabaret performer named Sally Bowles, and the two fall in love. Their relationship begins to bloom as the situation in Berlin changes from exciting to ominous as the Nazi Party and Hitler’s totalitarian regime begin to rise. “Cabaret” will be playing at Owen Theatre, located at 225 Metcalf St. in Conroe, TX, from 8 p.m. – 10 p.m. May 15, 2021, and admission is $24. Two Tons of Steel

If you are looking to enjoy some local music this weekend, then this event may be for you. Two Tons of Steel is a high-energy band from San Antonio performing at Pacific Yard House this Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets are available online here, and your table will be ready upon start of the event. If you wish to arrive early, make sure to call ahead with your ticket information so that the venue can ensure your table is ready for you. Johnny and the Spinsations

Also taking place at Pacific Yard House this weekend, Johnny and the Spinsations are a versatile band for many musical palettes. This band includes high levels of energy with the best music the 50’s and 60’s has to offer. They will be playing at 101 Metcalf St. this Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Pacific Yard House will also provide a brunch menu that includes bottomless mimosas and a bloody mary bar, so make sure to stop by for some good tunes and delicious brunch!
