Mary Poppins
Nothing quite embodies your childhood than a wonderful, heartfelt Disney lesson! For those of you that grew up with a love of music, good cheer, and an overall good time, then this first event is the perfect one for you. This weekend (08/12-08/14) as well as next weekend (8/19-8/21), Christian Youth Theatre will present their production of Mary Poppins!
Mary Poppins takes place in 1910 England following the Banks family. While troublemakers Jane and Michael have managed to successfully send every nanny that comes their way packing, one day, Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep to help the family learn how to value one another again. Using a combination of common sense and magic, Mary Poppins is able to take the children on magical and memorable adventures, teaching them that anything can happen if you let it.
The event will be held at Crighton Theatre, located at 234 Main Street in downtown Conroe. Tickets are available online here for $25, and we encourage you to check it out.
Brunch at the Winery
If weekend brunch is your favorite activity, then this next event is certainly for you. This Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., Golden Oak Micro Cellar will be hosting Brunch at the Winery. This event will feature a two-course meal and delectable drinks paired with them.
The first course will consist of a croissant with salmon, mixed cheeses, berries and jams and Blanc Du Bois wine. The second course is tiramisu with sparkling semi sweet table wine Mona Gold. It will take place at 1124 Jones rd. in New Waverly, TX, and more information can be found here.
Saturday Pioneer Adventure – The Importance of Bees
And finally, what better way to complete your weekend than learning a thing or two about nature’s busiest workers, the bees! This Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., the Heritage Museum of Montgomery County will be hosting a fascinating and informative Saturday Pioneer Adventure about the importance of bees and other information to know. It will take place at 1506 I-45 N Feeder next to Candy Cane Park, and more information can be found here.
