Indeed, this Friday, October 1, and Saturday, October 2, 2021, Historic Montgomery, TX will be hosting the 2021 Montgomery Quilt Walk. This is a free event that will take place both days from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and features a large display of modern and traditional quilts.
What’s more? There will also be a vendor’s market, a quilt raffle, and an array of quilts from makers all over the Houston area. Come on out to Downtown Montgomery at FM 149 & College Street, Montgomery, TX 77356 to visit Historic Montgomery Texas, and support the community. Oktoberfest at Margaritaville Lake Conroe
If you are a fan of the month of October and all Oktoberfest-related festivities, well then you are in luck! This Saturday, October 2, 2021, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Oktoberfest at Margaritaville Lake Conroe will feature new and exciting brews from three of the county’s very own local breweries. What’s more? There will be a live performance from the CMA Texas songwriter of the year, Thom Shepherd.
Tickets are on sale for $29 located here on the event website and include eight 4 oz. pours, live entertainment, as well as access to barbecued bratwurst and hamburgers. Come on out to Margaritaville Lake Resort at 600 Margaritaville Parkway.
The Festival of Strings
For those who love music and want to support the musicians at SHSU, then this event is for you! This Friday, October 8, 2021, at 7:30 p.m., the SHSU String Orchestra will be performing as part of the 2021 SHSU Festival of Strings. Tickets can be purchased online on the event page for $12, or day-of at the door for $15. The concert will take place in the SHSU Concert Hall located at 815 17th Street in Huntsville, TX. Additionally, SHSU students, faculty, and staff can attend the concert for free.
